Nope, not another Bond Film…just a review of the reviews. I know, so creative. I thought I just summ up the Spectre Challenge in a short (?) little post and rank my TOP 5 films and tell Who, in my eyes, is the best Bond.
I am here. Right from the movie theatre. And I don’t really know how or if I can really wrap my head around „Spectre“ yet. It’s not that I hated it, I didn’t even not like it…but I didn’t love it either. Did I expect too much? Was it just wrong for me to expect […]
The film starts and you immediately know it’s something completely new. Compared to „Quantum of Solace“ it felt so much warmer and fuller, the set design, the production design , the cinematography.
It was actually better than I remembered. Possibly because the time I saw the film at the movies they had to restart it 3 times because images and sound wouldn’t line up. We got a voucher for the next visit though, so everything was fine.
20 Bond films were out. It was announced that Pierce Brosnan wouldn’t come back…who would be the next Bond? Bond number 6.
I do remember now why I was so against Daniel Craig taking over James Bond: Because „Die Another Day“ was the last Pierce Brosnan 007 film and I loved it. And then I found it, the one Bond film that was shown on TV during the 90s and 00s so much that I might have tuned in and out about 500 times: „The World is Not Enough“. But however many times I have watched this Broccoli Production, I still love it.
It literally is so crazy to watch these films. I am honest. I most times don’t know what comes next, but when it happens I always remember: the overhaul boat, the legendary image of Bond and chinese Agent Wai Lin on the motorcycle. Sigh, I love myself for doing this challenge.
That song. I think it’s even catchier than „Goldfinger“. Tina Turners voice, written by U2. Hmm. I made it! After 16 Films and 4 Bonds, I have made it into MY presence. At least, the presence that once was. „GoldenEye“ was the first Bond after 6 years made, and the first one in my lifetime. […]
Since they revealed at the „Spectre“ Premiere on Monday that we would get to see Bond’s apartment I just now have the picture in my head that every Bondgirl he successfully seduced has her own room there…just picture that. Some collect trophies, Bond collects women. Or how else would you explain him always making a girl […]
