Today was the official start to our Berlinale 2016. After no film on Friday, we got to see two films on our second day in Berlin. „Inhebbek Hedi“ and „The Ones Below“ could not have been more different, but that’s what film is about and why I love film: Stories from all over the world, […]
The alarm went off at 2:55 am. Maybe I shouldn’t have even gone to bed, I had only tossed and turned anyways. But when the alarm sounded I was up in a heartbeat. I am good at those things. I usually can never get up in the morning, but when I am excited it’s just […]
Being a film fan plus having the best parents in the world (yeah, sorry. Hands down, noone can beat them!) makes for amazing gifts and presents. So for the second time I am lucky enough to fly to Berlin during The Berlinale, the Berlin Film Festival. I don’t know if you can call a second […]
Nope, not another Bond Film…just a review of the reviews. I know, so creative. I thought I just summ up the Spectre Challenge in a short (?) little post and rank my TOP 5 films and tell Who, in my eyes, is the best Bond.
I am here. Right from the movie theatre. And I don’t really know how or if I can really wrap my head around „Spectre“ yet. It’s not that I hated it, I didn’t even not like it…but I didn’t love it either. Did I expect too much? Was it just wrong for me to expect […]
The film starts and you immediately know it’s something completely new. Compared to „Quantum of Solace“ it felt so much warmer and fuller, the set design, the production design , the cinematography.
It was actually better than I remembered. Possibly because the time I saw the film at the movies they had to restart it 3 times because images and sound wouldn’t line up. We got a voucher for the next visit though, so everything was fine.
20 Bond films were out. It was announced that Pierce Brosnan wouldn’t come back…who would be the next Bond? Bond number 6.
I do remember now why I was so against Daniel Craig taking over James Bond: Because „Die Another Day“ was the last Pierce Brosnan 007 film and I loved it. Madonna, Halle Berry, Rosamunde Pike and Diamonds. I can even ignore the silly slow motion sequences and that ridiculous surfing with kite thing. (Please. Why?)
And then I found it, the one Bond film that was shown on TV during the 90s and 00s so much that I might have tuned in and out about 500 times: „The World is Not Enough“. But however many times I have watched this Broccoli Production, I still love it.
